An interview excerpt with Geron Smith, Director of Business Development
Interviewer: How do I know if there is mold present at my property?
Geron: Well, there’s a couple of ways that I think people most commonly start questioning the mold issue and one is odor. I mean there is that typical kind of musty odor, damp smell. The other is from a visual standpoint. Usually if there is this odor that just isn’t quite right, it’s musty and you know it’s been damp, that’s a good indication that there’s a problem somewhere and you probably should have a professional come out and look at it. There are a lot of things that need to be done, mold can hide behind walls and we mentioned the water wicking up into sheet rock. There are just a lot of places it can hide. So having a trained professional come out and inspect that and look at it is probably the best way to handle it.
